Suneye
I stalked a russle of noise through the tall field. My eyes were wide and my paws were padding at the soft ground. Newleaf had begun and the mice were already out and ready to be caught. When I went hunting, all I could think about was serving my clan and how fun it was to chase. This mouse had caused me little trouble when I pounced on it. Digging my teeth into it, I felt it go limp and wispered my thanks to Starclan. Clawing at the ground, I made a small hole and dropped the mouse in there before catching my second and third. Heading back to camp, I stopped by the river and pounced into it. The refreshing water was filled with fish. This would be easy and Foxstar would be proud. Clawing at 6 fish, I brought back 5 with the 3 mice. When I entered the camp, I tossed them into the fresh kill. Next, I remembered to check on the kit that I had rescued not many moons ago when the river was frozen. He was sleeping in his den and I relized that he needed milk. Pawing solftly at the dirt, I went to the leader's den. "Foxstar! What are we to do with Icekit? He needs milk and we have none, ourselfs." This kit meant a good amount to me to keep it safe like any kit would.

I raised my head as I heard the warrior brush through the reed tunnel that surrounded the entrance to my den. Suneye padded out of the shadows and into the small clearing just infront of the cave where I slept. The calico tom looked worried, even before he spoke I knew what he was going to ask me about. Icekit, the white tom Suneye had found a few moons back during a particularyly cold part of Leafbare. "How old is he now? Three, Four moons?" I questioned him. As I thought about our predicament a deep pit of worry and anxeity filled my belly. We had no nursing Queens, no Queens period. If it weren't for Icekit I would have no worries, with the prey running so well, and the twolegs hadn't started arriving at the Greenleaf Twoleg place yet, the clans were completely peaceful, even shadow and thunderclan were'nt having any spats, at least not that I'd heard of. Don't get me wrong, I love Icekit,he's very sweet and kind, though a bit shy, and I have no regrets about taking him in. I'm truly worried about the little scrap of fur. He's getting by on the herbs we've been giving him, but he's not as big or heathly as a kit his age should be. I stood and stretched, releasing the tensoin from my body. "We're going to have to start feeding him freshkill, he's only a little younger than the age the kits usualy start letting them eat fresh kill. We'll still have to give him the herbs though." I sighed deeply, "Make sure to give him mouse, not fish, fish is probaly a little too strong for him at this age, and beat it against a rock or something to make it tender."
